The Board of Governors comprises 17 members and is appointed to oversee the strategic direction of the University. The Board’s responsibilities are set out in the Statement of Primary Responsibilities amended and agreed by Governors in 2020.

In line with the CUC Higher Education Code of Governance the ӰƬ Board of Governors regularly undertakes reviews of its effectiveness. Formal reviews must be conducted every three years.
The Board’s last review with independent input was carried out in 2020-21, and the next one is due for completion in 2023-24.
